SEO New Tab does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. We have no servers, no database, and no analytics. We do not know who you are, where you are, or how you use the extension.

What stays on your device

Your preferences (selected country, language, theme, enabled news sources, custom RSS feeds) are saved exclusively in your browser’s local storage. This data never leaves your device.

Third-party content

The extension loads content from third-party services displayed on your new tab page: SEMrush Sensor (SERP volatility widget), Google Search Central Status API, and RSS feeds from SEO Roundtable, Search Engine Journal, Search Engine Land, Google Search Central Blog, Moz, and Ahrefs. When this content is fetched, your browser may send a standard HTTP request to those services. SEO New Tab has no control over the data practices of these third parties. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.

No tracking, no ads

SEO New Tab contains no tracking scripts, no advertising, no analytics, and no telemetry of any kind.

Permissions

The host permissions declared in the extension are used solely to fetch the content described above. The optional <all_urls> permission is only activated when you manually add a custom RSS feed — it is never used by default.
